"(...) So when you find yourself broken-hearted, come to his cross. When your beloved stops returning your phone calls, come to his cross. When the bases are loaded with two outs at the bottom of the ninth, and you strike out, come to his cross. When your spouse tells you there's someone else, come to his cross. When your parents have a hard time remembering who you are, come to his cross. When the pain in your chest starts shooting down your arm, come to his cross. When your children are embarrassed to be seen with you in public, come to his cross.
Come to his cross when the wedding you keep hoping for never seems to happen. Come to his cross when the children you desperately want are never conceived. Come to his cross when they take away your car keys - forever. Come to his cross when you long for the child who would have been five years old now. Come to his cross when the x-ray shows an even bigger shadow on your lung. Come to his cross when you finally get up the courage to ask that person out, and they say no. Come to his cross when there's no one else to come to.
Come to his cross, because when Jesus died there, it wasn't the last word. It wasn't the end.
It was just the beginning."
